Garage 59 to win overall championship with car #58

Today we have witnessed the final race of the Blancpain GT series Endurance Cup at the legendary race track Nürnburgring in the German Eiffel.
Exiting battles till the end of the race with the podium cars finishing within 1.997 seconds from each other after 85 laps.
With the first 2016 win for the #16 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 taking 25 points, leaving the #1 Audi R8 LMS behind just 0.351 it was a battle till the last second.
Starting the race, the championship looked to be a battle between the #8 M-Sport Bentley, #58 Gargage 59 McLaren, #84 HTP AMG Mercedes and #99 ROWE BMW. Also let's not forget that Laurens Vanthoor driving the #1 WRT Audi was still in the runnng for an overall podium.
The outcome of this race has shown anything can happen.
After the last safetycar it came down to driver skils and tire management, the #58 Garage 59 McLaren not in the points it was a nerve-wracking last 30 minutes of the race. The #8 M-sport Bentley fighting around for P20 was at this point in the race not able to score the needed points to win the championship, also #99 ROWE BMW fighting for P10 did not look like to be going to make up another 8 places before the finish flag.
Than it leaves us the #84 HTP AMG Mercedes, running at P4 with 12 championship points they would come 1 point behind the #58 Garage 59 McLaren.
Seeing the P3 car #23 RJN Nissan GT-R ahead, they are on a mission....
#84 HTP AMG Mercedes can keep up and catch the top 3 and finishes only 13.310 seconds behind the podium.
Meening with a total of 68 points the #58 Garage 59 McLaren 650S GT3 wins the championship with 1 point difference!
